More and more cities around the world are making accessibility a priority and becoming Certified Autism Destinations. Traverse City, Michigan is one such city. As your Certified Accessible Travel Specialist I have access to resources and suppliers that traditional travel agents do not.

  • A: My daughter is a wheelchair user and we have traveled extensively together. We’ve taken long road trips, traveled domestically and internationally, often with a service animal too. There are specific questions that need to be asked of airlines, hotels, transportation, and activities and as a travel advisor with both personal experience and professional training and resources, you can rest assured that your needs will be anticipated and taken care of every step of the way.

    My son was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and seasonal affective disorder at the age of six. I became a Certified Autism Travel Professional in 2022 to learn even more about ways that I can support those who live with neurodivergent disabilities. There are so many wonderful resources available that the general traveler would have trouble finding, and I love making these connections for clients.

  • A: Absolutely! If there is a specific request such as the closest hospital or pharmacy, we can find it and put the directions directly in your personalized itinerary. If you’re planning on visiting more than one location, we can provide it for all of your destinations. We also strongly encourage travelers to meet with their hotel concierge, because they can also be a tremendous resource.
